Hand calligraphy is the art of addressing envelopes by hand using a pointed pen or brush and ink. Every envelope is written one by one, which makes the presentation feel personal, elevated, and truly special. It also photographs beautifully and adds that instant wow moment when guests pull your invitation from the mailbox.

Paper Muse .Co does not offer hand calligraphy in house, but we are happy to refer trusted calligraphers. You can choose the artist whose style you love, and we can ship your blank envelopes directly to the calligrapher of your choice.
We offer two options for envelope addressing:​
Printed envelope addressing
We can print your guest addresses in a calligraphy style font that coordinates with your invitation suite. This is a clean, polished option with consistent results and a more budget friendly approach.

Hand calligraphy and spot calligraphy
If you want true hand lettering, you will work directly with a calligrapher. This includes full envelope addressing, or spot calligraphy for special touches like a few feature envelopes, place cards, escort cards, or day of details. Each calligrapher sets their own pricing, timeline, and process. Always order extra envelopes for your calligrapher!
We recommend reaching out early, since calligraphy calendars can book quickly during wedding season.
